Sri Rama Rajyam is based on the epic Ramayana. The film depicts Rama's (Balakrishna) rule of Ayodhya after he rescues Sita (Nayanthara) from Ravana, his separation from Sita, and her reclusive life in the forest as she raises their children Lava and Kusa.
